Plexus 2 point renderer with text above

So I have Plexus 2 and it is great!!!! Just one question about point renderer and textured sprites with primitive objects. I have a web of points connected with lines and I want to add words beside the points halfway threw the animation. How do I do that without removing the points altogether and replacing them with my textured sprite. I would love to have the points and the sprite. I have seen it done before in many videos but for some reason i cant figure it out! thanks for the help.
